HOUSE MUSIC.
FIRST DANCE EDIT.
ONE HELL OF A WEDDING!
THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY LOVED.
OUR JOB WAS TO MAKE IT WORK ON A DANCE FLOOR.
These two wanted their music, NO COMPROMISES!
They're house music lovers, the Groom produces music, and the kind of couple who weren't interested in their wedding sounding like everybody else's.
So we didn't treat it like everybody else's. We went deep and studied their taste Fisher, John Summit, Rufus Du Sol, Hugel, Mau P, etc…
Cocktail hour started with Saxophone Player, the very talented Stuart Brignell. Then on to Dinner which had its own Funk/Soul,RnB Vinyl soundtrack. And for their first dance, we created something custom, an orchestral version of John Summit's - “Where You Are” that transitioned back into the original and turned the end of their first dance into the beginning of the party! I also have a custom edit remix of The Tragically Hip’s-Bobcaygeon song X Blackstreet No Diggity. The bride’s Father said, after hearing it, “I don’t know how the hell you did that, but that was some cool sh*t!”
No awkward reset. No “okay everybody, now it's time to dance.”
The wedding just became the party.
And from 9pm-2am... Bobcaygeon got a little ragey 😂

TASTE.
We're not trying to make every wedding look or sound the same. Give us the tracks you love, the songs attached to your life, family, friends, the weird requests, the underground stuff, the guilty pleasures, that's where the fun starts!
Your taste. Our expertise. Your people. Your wedding.

Four cultures. One dance floor.
This wedding brought together Indian, Italian, Greek and Western music, four very different musical worlds that still had to feel like one cohesive celebration.
The goal wasn’t simply to play a few songs from each culture. It was to build a set that moved between them naturally, kept the energy intact, and made every transition feel intentional. That meant carefully balancing familiar moments, cultural favourites, open-format selections and dancefloor energy while reading the room in real time and keeping the night flowing naturally.
Meticulously selected. Seamlessly mixed. Built for the people in the room.

We’ve worked across many cultural combinations, building sets that respect each tradition while keeping the same approach: understand the room, respect the music, and connect it all…

ONE ROOM.
EVERY GENERATION.
BIG ARTS wanted a Motown-inspired afterparty that could connect with every generation in the room.
The easy move would have been to stay inside the theme and play the obvious records all night (that they already heard). The main show featured Broadway performers from New York performing the Motown classics. Del Vinyl took over for the afterparty.
The goal was to use Motown-adjacent tracks as the common ground, then connect the musical dots between generations without ever losing the room.
What does that mean?
ORIGINALS. SAMPLES. GENERATIONS CONNECTED THROUGH MUSIC.
Check out some of the connections from the actual set below.
01-Chaka Khan – Fate
02-Stardust – Music Sounds Better With You (aka ½ ofDaft Punk samples Chaka Khan with that epic loop we all know)
03-Harry Belafonte – Jump In The Line (acapella live DJ blend over top of Stardust)
04>Chicago – Street Player
05>The Bucketheads – The Bomb!
06>Pitbull – I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)
07-Eddie Johns – More Spell On You
08-Daft Punk – One More Time
09-Avicii – Levels
10-Etta James – Something’s Got A Hold On Me *** BIGGEST SONG OF THE NIGHT
11-Ray Charles – I Got A Woman 12-Kanye West - Gold Digger
13-Linda Lyndell – What A Man
14-Salt-N-Pepa Feat. En Vogue – Whatta Man
THE PLAYLIST WASN’T THE POINT.
It was the connections between it.
Chaka Khan into Stardust with Harry Belafonte - Jump In The Line Remixed in
Chicago into The Bucketheads into Pitbull
Eddie Johns into Daft Punk
Avicii into Etta James
Ray Charles into Kanye
Linda Lyndell into Salt-N-Pepa
Different decades. Different memories. Same dance floor.
THAT’S THE JOB.
To find the records that make age stop mattering.
One room —> connected.
TELL US WHO’S IN THE ROOM.
WE’LL FIND WHAT CONNECTS THEM.
